The Stitching Grace Ministry provides counseling services to teenage mothers as they work through their trauma. Teenage mothers learn a skill that can provide for them and their babies to meet their financial needs. We are involved in advocating for these mothers and helping them get the medical care they need, training them in nutritional programs as well as reproductive health and prevention.

WHY THE STITCHING GRACE MINISTRY?
For the past several years, Rwanda has been experiencing unprecedented rates of teen pregnancy. In the Rusizi District of southwestern Rwanda, these rates have grown to epidemic proportions. These young women are often stigmatized and rejected, leaving them to fend for themselves. The Stitching Grace Ministry is driven by the idea that with grace, love and compassion we stitch the wounded hearts of teenage mothers who are experiencing emotional, physical and spiritual pain marred by extreme poverty. Our vision is to see beauty rise from ashes. We hope that through experiencing the grace and unconditional love of God, these mothers will find healing and new life. MISSION
To equip, educate and encourage young mothers to discover all that God intends for them to be 
Teen Mothers carrying home care packages which include milk, baby oil, porridge flour, and cleaning supplies
Experience has shown how much joy and hope this program gives to these teen mothers and how much it contributes to the restoration of their healing and confidence, helping them escape the challenges that come with social isolation and stigma.

The Stitching Grace Ministry has taken the initiative to support these teen mothers, allowing a safe place to share their stories and their struggles, and find ways of reintegrating them into society. Experienced mothers will come alongside these young mothers to guide, teach, and encourage them. All of this helps create an environment whereby they begin to realize their value to themselves, to God, and to others.
